Process design for multiple sodium methylate plants (sodium methoxide), principally for use as a catalyst in biodiesel production.
Specialty Metals Production
o Silicon – process engineering, pilot plant construction for several new silicon production processes
o Titanium – supply of electromagnetic pumps for a titanium plant using sodium as a reducing agent
o Tantalum – expertise in sodium and NaK handling, acid extraction for various tantalum producers for the past 10 years.
Delivery of 6 electromagnetic pumps for titanium producer.
Petrobeam – four pilot plants of various sizes for this developer of new oil field technology targeting more cost effective upgrade of heavy crudes including tar sands oil.
Design of a major expansion for a defoamer manufacturer
o Project included all process design
o Automation design and supply of the complete PLC system
o Assistance with the building design and building code reviews
Design construction and startup of several fluoropolymer etching lines for applications including tubing, wire and sheet.
Supply of alkali metal systems for NASA. These included systems for sodium, NaK, and lithium.
