Process-Hazard Assessments and Safety Consulting
Creative Engineers, Inc., has engineers who as part of their training are qualified to facilitate process-hazard assessments (PHA). The depth of our staff allows us to provide this service while still providing the independent process expertise necessary for a successful PHA.
There are many methods and programs used to conduct a PHA. The most common used by CEI are the “What-If” and the HAZOP (or Hazard and Operability) Study, although other methods can be implemented as well.
For many designs, PHAs are required to meet regulatory obligations under OSHA or EPA regulations. Even where not required, a PHA often improves a process design by implementing a systematic review and critique.
