| | Meet Our Principal Consultants - |
| Rich VanLieshout | Project Manager Consultant (resume in MS Word); Project Manager Consultant (resume on web page); PDF File Format Rich has worked in the chemical industry for almost 30 years. Functional areas of involvement include: Process Engineering, Project Engineering, Maintenance, Product Development, Operations, EH&S and Plant Management. Specific industries have included plastics, pigments, specialty chemicals, specialty metals, and environmental remediation. Rich’s very broad background is his greatest strength in bringing new ideas to the table and questioning the status quo. To go along with the lessons of real world chemical manufacturing, Rich has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA. (Yes it is amazing, an ME that can do process design.). In his spare time, Rich enjoys pursing skiing, biking, sailing, and tennis – truly a man for all seasons. |
| Kevin Berry, PE | Technical Manager Consultant (resume in MS Word); Technical Manager Consultant (resume on web page); PDF File Format Kevin has proved himself an expert in the handling and use of alkali metals. Kevin has almost 40 years engineering experience with almost 30 years experience handling sodium, potassium and NaK. Kevin may just be the most experienced person available to assist in this very specialized area of chemical processing. Having worked with many different unit ops, Kevin also has a great deal of experience in the area of specialty chemical batch processing. Strong powers of observation have enabled Kevin to quickly spot areas of improvement for many clients. Kevin is a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, PA (which we do not hold against him). In Kevin’s spare time, you’ll find him with his pride and joys – 5 grandsons! |
| Chad A. Bohannon, PE| Senior Chemical Engineer (resume in MS Word); Chemical Engineer Consultant (resume on web page); PDF File Format Chad is a Chemical Engineer (BS, University of Pittsburgh, PA 2000) and Chemist (BS, Gannon University, PA 2001) with 10+ years experience in chemical production, operation of specialty batch processes, waste handling, and design and operation of alkali metal handling and reduction systems used in the chemical and nuclear industries. Chad has been a huge (significant, not fat) player in our etchants (Sodium Naphthalene and Sodium Ammonia) and Sodium dispersion products (see web Chemicals for further details) as well as majorly involved in research / pilot plant operations for customers. Chad joined the company after completing his dual degree and a coop program at a specialty chemical manufacturing plant. He has been a tremendous asset to the company with a sharp mind, strong back, and good nature. Besides his 2 degrees, Chad is also a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Chad wears too many hats to detail all of his duties (both highly – Plant Manager of our York facility and lowly – janitor capacities), suffice it to say he is one of Creative’s key go-to men! In Chad’s spare time he enjoys hanging with his 2 young children – they’re changing by the moment and growing up before his very eyes. |
| Robert A. Wagner | Mechanical Engineer Consultant (resume in MS Word); Mechanical Engineer Consultant (resume on web page); PDF File Format Rob brings many skills gained during his almost 35 years of experience in diverse manufacturing industries, including specialty chemicals, specialty metals, textile fibers, pigments, and glass. Rob has extensive background in project engineering, project management, automation, plant engineering, and maintenance. Rob works closely with Greg constructing and designing skid mounted systems. With a BSME from the University of South Florida, Rob complements the ChemE’s in the company and will provide increased ability in the areas of mechanical design and implementation. Previous experience with sodium and NaK is another reason Rob is a natural fit with CEI. Rob is an avid sailor, you’ll find him on the open water with any spare moment that he can. |
| Gregory P. Flinn | Automation Engineer Consultant (resume in MS Word); Automation Engineer Consultant (resume on web page); PDF File Format Greg has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Grove City College, PA and an MBA from Duquesne University, PA. Greg has worked in the chemical and energetic’s industries for 20+ years, spending most of that time involved with automation, process control, PLCs, and other computer platforms. Greg is experienced in power distribution as well. Greg has consulted with several biodiesel companies. As part of the plant automation process, we will provide Instrument Loop diagrams as an aid in installing the equipment during the building process and in trouble shooting maintenance issues after the process is running. Greg’s main role at CEI is to increase our capability for constructing skid-mounted systems, but he has many talents. Process-hazard analysis is another area in which Greg has formal training and is able to help our clients comply with the OSHA Process Safety Management standard. Greg’s our man for all that is related to our AC Electromagnetic Pumps, Flow Meters Pressure, and Vacuum Pumps. In his spare time, Greg enjoys travel (particularly National Parks and places he’s never been), woodworking, and rebuilding his older house. | | | Meet Our Support Personnel – | | Joshua D. Dube, Chemical Engineer Consultant Josh received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Widener University, PA, Prior to joining CEI Josh has 10 years Process Engineering experience.
