Alkali Metals Training

Creative Engineers provides alkali metals training, offering both standard and custom training courses at its facility in New Freedom, Pa.  We also perform on-site training when requested by our customers. Our courses typically offer a mix of classroom and hands-on training and demonstrations. The exact content of a custom course is jointly developed between CEI and the customer.

Typical classroom work includes topics such as

  • Properties and hazards of alkali metals
  • PPE and first aid
  • Fire, spill, and emergency response
  • Buildings, equipment, and systems
  • Storage and transportation

Typical hands-on work can include

  • Demonstration of water reaction
  • Proper extinguishing technique
  • Small spill cleanup
  • Cleanup of system components
